Can a gear pulk be used to carry a child safely?

There are  many commercial models out there carrying kids every day. We believe it can be safe if the skier recognizes their own abilities and their limits in the terrain. In our opinion, a good child-carrying pulk will have a sturdy back rest (which can function as a roll bar as well).  A child's pulk will also have an appropriate seat belt or body harness depending on the age, and a well designed pulk and harness system.  Some features that are less essential but still found in many commercial models are a windshield and canopy.
